Baptism

Baptism is a true sacrament instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is conferred through the pouring of natural water while invoking the Most Holy Trinity. As the gateway to Christian life, Baptism is the foundational sacrament and the necessary preparation for receiving all other sacraments. Through Baptism we are united with Jesus Christ, share in His redemptive death and resurrection, are cleansed from all sin, and are called to new and eternal life. It is a sacred covenant with God and a gracious gift that reveals His unconditional love and acceptance.

At St. Mary’s Syro-Malabar Mission, members may request the sacrament of Baptism by completing the online application form, which will be reviewed by the Parish Priest.
